The enthusiasm to explore
You may have read many travel blogs in which the writer covers detailed information about the destinations visited, hotel reviews, descriptions of local culture and food, details of adventure activities engage in during the trip, information about adventure companies or tours used, personal reflections on the experiences and how they impacted you, showcase of photographs and videos taken during the trip, etc.
But this blog it's not about that, it's the dreams of two friends(Somnath and Siddhant). We always discuss we will travel all over India to explore the places, interact with the local people, explore their way of living, and visit most remote areas of India it may take us years to complete but that's the interesting part we are not on our two-week vacation we are on a journey to explore. We will be traveling on our adventure bikes most probably a Royal Enfield Himalayan or a Yedzi Adventure. Like ordinary tourists we are not going to stay in hotels, instead, we will be staying in our tents yes you hear it right I am talking about camping tents. It will be going to be a lifetime experience. Imagine sitting in Hanle, Ladakh looking up only to witness endless views of clear skies dotted with twinkling stars. These stars only seem to increase in number the more you stare at the sky, dancing to their own tunes and enchanting you like none other. Seeing the entire milky way galaxy, I just got thrilled when I just think about this. If you don't know already Ladakh has the clearest sky in India. It also has India’s first Dark Sky Reserve, the best time to visit is between March and October to get the best view possible. Also, Ladakh has the world's highest motorable road in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, named Umling La, passing through Umlinga top at a height of over 19,300 feet. Oxegny level at this high altitude is very low, you and your vehicle both struggle in this kind of situation. Ladakh is incomplete with Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 14,200 feet, which is the world's highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stands in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Camping near this lake would be an awesome experience. Places like Kargil experience harsh winters camping in situations like this could be challenging. And here comes the toughest and most adventurous thing to do off-roading on trails. Trails like Pangong Tso Lake, Markha Vally and Zangla Palace trails are very famous. We are talking about mountains for too long let's visit the oceans. Well, India has a very large coastline. There are many famous beaches in India, but as a rider, we will always prefer Dhanushkodi beach. Located in the southern part of India in the state of Tamil Nadu, the beach is situated at the southernmost tip of the Rameswaram Island, where the Bay of Bengal meets the Indian Ocean. The beach is known for its long stretch of unspoiled sand, clear blue waters, and scenic surroundings. The terrain of the beach is ideal for riders, as it offers a mix of soft sand, rocky patches, and dunes, providing a thrilling riding experience. The beach is also surrounded by lush greenery and serene landscapes, making it an ideal location for nature enthusiasts. Another reason why Dhanushkodi Beach is popular among riders is its proximity to the famous Pamban Bridge. The bridge is one of the longest sea bridges in India and provides riders with a unique opportunity to ride along the sea while enjoying the stunning views. Just put yourself there and think you are riding a bike and both or your side's endless ocean. In addition to its scenic beauty and thrilling terrain, Dhanushkodi Beach also has a rich history and cultural significance. The beach was once a thriving town but was destroyed by a cyclone in 1964. Today, the ruins of the town can still be seen on the beach, providing a glimpse into its past. If the person who reads this has already experienced these places then congratulations to you man, you have a great test when it comes to travel.
As I have told you in the beginning that this is all dream for us. We never went to this place we have only heard stories, photographs, and videos of this place. The primary reason for not being able to do this all is no other than the money part. We both are hustling to get a job in tech and first earn our living by ourselves. But I am an optimist I hope we will accomplish this one day. Thank you for reading this till the end. Have a good day.
